Policies & Payment

Policies

Confidentiality
Anything you share with me is fully confidential. The legal exceptions to confidentiality are in the cases of:
  • Suspected child or elder abuse
  • A serious threat made to harm another person
  • A threat to cause yourself imminent harm
Cancellation Policy
Once an appointment hour is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for it in full unless you provide at least 48 hours advance notice of cancellation. If you do not notify me at least 48 hours in advance, and do not attend your session, you will be responsible for the full session fee. If it is possible, I will try to find another mutually convenient time to reschedule within the same business week, in order to avoid charging for a missed session. I handle cancellations due to last minute emergencies or illness on a case by case basis.

Payment

Rates and Payment
During our initial phone consultation, we will discuss my fees and any specific needs or concerns that you may have. I accept payment via cash, check, or Zelle.
Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans. However, many people have out-of-network benefits and may be eligible for reimbursement for therapy. Coverage for my services varies depending on ones health insurance provider and specific plan.
To receive coverage through out-of-network benefits, patients pay me in full and then submit a claim to their insurance. I provide the necessary documents to submit for out-of-network claim filing. After the claim is submitted and filed, individuals receive a check from their insurance company for the reimbursement. I can further advise you on how to discuss your benefits with your insurance company, and the process for filing claims.
